Mandy Shaw — Transforming the C-Suite, Managing With Intention, and How Parenting Impacts Leadership Style

On this episode, I am joined by Mandy Shaw — President and Chief Executive Officer at Blaze Pizza, LLC — for a conversation about managing with intention and by example, how parenting makes you a better leader, company culture by design and how small actions speak volumes.

Parenting has had a huge impact on Mandy’s leadership abilities and she describes how.

She explains the company’s “free to be you” culture and what it means on a daily basis. She also talks about how to get people to enjoy what they're doing every day; it’s all about leading with intention.

We spoke about what makes high intellectual curiosity so important in a candidate, how it’s usually the high performers who sacrifice the most when the wrong people are hired and why company culture should be demonstrated on a practical level during interviews.

I gotta tell you, there was no BS in this interview and Mandy gave me some good ideas I’m gonna steal for my own organization…
