Deanna Meador — CEO, Inventor and Entrepreneur Extraordinaire

With me [your host Oz Rashid] on this episode I am joined by Deanna Meador, CEO at Couture Technologies — virtual try-on technology — and Director of Entrepreneurship at Vanderbilt University — a private research university in Nashville — to speak about her dual roles and involvement with hundreds of hires.

Some of what she shares is her hiring strategy, including sourcing high-demand skills.

Deanna describes the details around the questions she asks when interviewing and explains why she focuses on good fit over anything else. Her strategies work — her technology company has a 95% retention rate due to creating an environment where people find meaning in their work and by offering a competitive wage.

I asked Deanna to outline the tenets of a good candidate experience in the interview process, which she did, and says that, “those responsible should take care of the little things in order to streamline the candidate experience.”

A great interview with this CEO, inventor and entrepreneur extraordinaire.
